Job Responsibility
Partner closely with General Managers, acting as a trusted adviser to deliver end-to-end strategic, commercial and financial leadership across the division
Lead a team of Finance Business Partners, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, investment appraisal and performance analysis in a complex, multi-channel retail environment
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive commercial outcomes and continuous improvement
Translate the Post30 strategy into actionable plans, optimise product profitability and provide financial oversight of Australia Post’s national retail network to support performance, efficiency and long-term growth
Provide commercial advice to Senior Leaders and General Managers, offering insights on profitability, network performance, pricing and investments to drive value
Improve financial processes, reporting, and analysis to deliver faster, more accurate, and relevant insights
Use data, analytics, and digital tools (e.g. Power BI, SAP, Power Platform) to strengthen reporting, modelling, and decision support
Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning, ensuring alignment with financial targets and accountability for outcomes
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and grow revenue while supporting Australia Post’s commercial and public objectives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (inferred from experience requirement)
Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in finance, with significant depth in commercial finance, FP&A and finance business partnering within large, complex organisations
Proven track record of leading financial planning, P&L management and commercial advisory across multiple business lines or portfolios, with measurable impact on strategic decision-making and business performance
Experience delivering against commercial KPIs, leading transformation or continuous improvement initiatives, and building high-performing finance teams in environments of significant change
Advanced capability in financial modelling, scenario analysis and business case development
Ability to interpret and synthesise operational, financial and customer data from multiple sources to inform strategic decisions and drive commercial outcomes
