Job Description:

A leading UK manufacturing business with multiple sites is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to lead finance across two major operations. This is a senior, highly visible role for a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys being embedded in operations and influencing performance on the ground. You’ll sit on the site leadership team, owning the full financial agenda for both locations while acting as a true business partner to operations, engineering and supply chain.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading operational financial planning, including modelling and performance forecasting
  • Partnering with manufacturing and engineering leaders to drive productivity, efficiency and cost control
  • Reviewing and challenging capital investment proposals and business cases
  • Owning month end for the sites, ensuring strong controls
  • Coordinating site forecasts, budgets and annual operating plans
  • Delivering performance insight
  • Driving high standards of reporting across labour, materials and operational metrics
  • Acting as the senior point of escalation for all on-site finance matters
  • Playing a key role in developing talent and embedding a high-performance culture
  • Leading and developing a mixed team of qualified and part-qualified finance professionals

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Experience operating in a manufacturing, operations-led or project-driven environment
  • Strong commercial instinct with the confidence to challenge at a senior level
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with a coaching and development mindset
  • Comfortable operating through change and ambiguity
  • Able to translate complex financial issues into practical, commercial conversations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across both finance and non-finance functions
