The Finance Manager (Group Finance) is responsible for leading the Group’s consolidation process and providing high-level financial intelligence to the executive team. This role focuses on ensuring strict statutory compliance, driving reporting automation, and delivering incisive analysis that supports strategic decision-making across the Group.
Job Responsibility:
Consolidation Mastery: Apply advanced technical knowledge to manage the Group consolidation accounts for a Public Listed Company (PLC)
Performance Analysis: Perform thorough, detailed analysis and provide executive commentary on both Business Unit and Group-wide financial performance
Board-Level Reporting: Prepare comprehensive Board Papers and EXCO reports, presenting findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Compliance: Maintain expert knowledge of MFRS, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, and other statutory standards to ensure 100% group-wide adherence
Annual Budgeting: Lead the preparation and monitoring of Group annual budgets, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow projections
Variance Analysis: Conduct meticulous variance analysis and provide detailed commentaries to explain deviations from financial plans
Treasury & Tax: Oversee banking relationships, tax matters, and sophisticated cash flow management and analysis
System Enhancement: Identify gaps in current reporting and formulate standardized accounting policies and procedures
Automation: Drive the automation of reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency and financial transparency
External Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, statutory bodies, bankers, company secretaries, and legal counsel
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline
At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity
Proven experience within a Big Four audit firm or a Public Listed Company (PLC) is highly preferred
Hands-on Group Consolidation experience is compulsory
Strong mastery of P&L, financial analysis, tax, and banking
Deep familiarity with financial regulations and MFRS
