Job Description

We are seeking an experienced individual for the role of Finance Manager – Americas. This role is key to ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reporting requirements, strengthening the capability of the Americas team and forging a finance function that drives the business to success. The role covers the America’s region with the largest work being in the US and Colombia where we have large offices. We also cover Canada and Brazil from the region. The role has a hybrid working pattern with a requirement to be in the Medellin office a few days each week. The role requires a high level of interaction with Group and other finance teams, non-finance teams and with third parties.

Job Responsibility

  • Support and development of the Americas accounting team, including 2/3 direct reports and wider finance team
  • Take a lead on completion monthly Regional results including P&L, BS and commentary
  • Review and improvement of Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Improvements in Finance Processes
  • Support in the completion and improvement of SOX controls to ensure SOX compliance
  • Ensuring all accounting is in line with required GAAP and Group policy
  • Supporting SEC reporting team in US GAAP reporting
  • Supporting RFC in completion of local Audits and local tax compliance
  • Other Ad hoc work as required

Requirements

  • Excellent technical accounting skills
  • Qualified Accountant with 5+ years post qualified experience in industry
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and reporting is preferred as well as local Colombia accounting and tax
  • Desire to learn and utilise Workday Financials to the full
