The Finance Manager Commercial Channel is a leading performer responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing financial programs and initiatives within the commercial channel and plays a major role in partnering with the sales executives to ensure that the appropriate methods are in place to track volume, profit and other key metrics to running the business and making critical, time-sensitive decision. Intense focus on volume, price & mix as well as gross to net, RFPs, selling and samples expenses monitoring.
Job Responsibility:
Evaluate the effectiveness of operational processes, procedures, and controls to maximize departmental productivity and attainment of operational goals
Participates in and may manage large, cross-functional projects or initiatives with strategic importance
Performs high-level critical thinking, detailed information gathering and application of business knowledge
Establish financial objectives
prepare annual operating budgets
prepare and update forecasts
Maintain financial performance by developing operating and financial metrics
Analyze results and trends and provide budget variance feedback. Analyze and report on sales trends, opportunities, and weaknesses. Review contract pricing and terms for the commercial channel
Prepare and analyze financial reports to senior business unit management and senior financial management
Monitors and tracks T&E spending and customer engagement activities to budget and provides ROI calculation by project
Coordinates Rebate calculations, analysis and guarantee a proper payment flow and reporting to dealers and buying groups
Partners with sales operations to generate valuable information from CRM for decision making process
Coordinates with HR the preparation of commissions, bonus and SIP accruals and payouts in a regular basis
Develop, communicate, maintain, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to SOX controls
Oversee commercial sales and orders records and systems to detect deviations from established policies, procedures, or any fraudulent or wasteful activity
Oversee timely reporting of annual and multi-year trends and projections for revenues, expenditures, and fund balances
Perform other duties, as necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
6-8 years of job-related experience or equivalent education and/or experience
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once
High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures
Experience in sales / commercial finance field with exposure to Gross-To-Net analyses, rebates, commissions, discounts, commercial agreements, etc.
Proficient in SAP
Exposure to CRM
Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and Sarbanes-Oxley
