Job Description:

FINANCE INTERNSHIP – In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the Finance organization. You will gain exposure to technical and commercial aspects while supporting the finance team with our Corporate requirements. You will assist the Finance team in achieving its project goals and objectives as an active participant. Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in at least one career function from Corporate, Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain or Technology. Internships are focused on learning and exposure to fundamental business processes and procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the Finance Team with the yearly budgeting process
  • Develop an automated conversion of budgets from their current tabular data form into line-delimited text format
  • Work with operations teams assisting in the development of financial reports in support of monthly closing activities
  • Work with the financial team to optimize the profitability analysis by Region and by Business Line
  • Execute tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements
  • Communicate issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility
  • May assist in research or special projects in a variety of areas
  • May be asked to prepare and deliver insights and recommendations based on analyses
  • Produce findings and draw conclusions from analyses

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • Working towards a four year degree in a finance, business management or accounting major
  • 3.0 Cumulative G.P.A required
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Strong Excel Skills and Macro/Automation knowledge
