Job Description

This role supports the Financial Governance Manager in all financial spend, demand and change is captured across Opex and Capex aligned to the financial envelope. The role will ensure the definition and successful delivery of necessary capex and opex financial governance and assurance across appropriate capabilities and the overarching ND&I level. Responsible for capturing and tracking financial and commercial information (Capex & Opex) to provide the Capability Lead and Finance Governance Lead with the required management financial information to make data driven informed decisions, whilst ensuring all stakeholder reporting needs are met. They will ensure the appropriate governance, reporting and financial management is carried out effectively and consistently across all capabilities. The role requires the holder to make sure we identify and deliver on the financial envelopes and the management of it throughout the year.

  • Supports the Financial Governance Manager in all financial spend, demand and change is captured across Opex and Capex aligned to the financial envelope
  • Ensures the definition and successful delivery of necessary capex and opex financial governance and assurance across appropriate capabilities and the overarching ND&I level
  • Responsible for capturing and tracking financial and commercial information (Capex & Opex) to provide the Capability Lead and Finance Governance Lead with required management financial information
  • Ensures appropriate governance, reporting and financial management is carried out effectively and consistently across all capabilities
  • Responsible for rolling forecasts and financial planning cycles including: 9+15, 5+7, 9+3 etc.
  • Capability financial forecasting and tracking
  • Ability to build stakeholder relationships with Finance, Commercial and Delivery teams
  • Ability to analyse, identify & leverage opportunity to address challenges
  • Supporting Programmes and Projects in raising POs, receipting and any issue resolution
  • Assessment and delivery or coordination of delivery of ad-hoc financial requests from central finance teams
