T2M Resourcing are working with a client who are a critical specialist service provider to the health sector, enjoying market leading status and backed by a global enterprise. The company has achieved sustained growth through long term client retention and new contract wins but still has much to do to drive the business forwards. With annual revenue of c£40m the finance team is lean and the investment in new systems requires a Finance Director who can be the trusted business partner to the Managing Director whilst ensuring robust financial control, governance and working capital management within group requirements. The ability to manage all aspects of the ‘day to day’ finance operation whilst delivering process and performance improvement aligned to group strategy requires a qualified accountant with great organisation and planning skills – able to meet deadlines and deliver ‘right first time’ reports that gives confidence to all stakeholders and ensures adherence to regulatory reporting requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Be the trusted business partner to the Managing Director
Ensure robust financial control, governance and working capital management within group requirements
Manage all aspects of the ‘day to day’ finance operation
Deliver process and performance improvement aligned to group strategy
Deliver ‘right first time’ reports that gives confidence to all stakeholders and ensures adherence to regulatory reporting requirements
Lead role as both ‘subject matter expert’ for finance and also part of the management team
Requirements:
Qualified accountant with experience of being the finance no.1 (or no.2 ready for the next step) within a ‘business to business’ contracts lead service provider
Must have worked within a medium size business and be ‘hands on’ in style
Proven ability of robust financial control and reporting – meeting all reporting deadlines and maintaining strong relationships with external auditors and regulatory authorities
Great IT skills with previous systems implementation / upgrade experience e.g. SAP, Dynamics 365 or similar
Great leadership and communication skills – able to manage and upskill a finance team and present insightful financial information that will support effective business decision making
Happy to be ‘in the office’ a minimum of three days a week
