Finance Director

• Oversees all town-side financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, purchasing, cash management, debt service, and financial reporting
• Plays a key leadership role in preparing the annual operating and capital budgets, developing long-term financial forecasts, and ensuring compliance with all local and state financial regulations
• Provides guidance to the Town Administrator, Finance Committee, and Select Board
• Supervises the Assistant Town Accountant
• Partners closely with department heads across Police, Fire, Library, Senior Center, and Town Hall
• Coordinates with the Public Schools’ Finance Director on town-wide financial planning

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
• master’s preferred
• At least seven years of progressively responsible municipal/governmental finance experience, including three in a supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of municipal finance laws and best practices required
• CMA certification preferred
