Job Description:

Our client, a dynamic real estate investment company, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their leadership team. This pivotal role will drive the financial strategy and operations for the business, ensuring robust financial health and alignment with organizational goals.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and implement financial plans to meet short-term needs and long-term goals, including preparing detailed budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support leadership decisions
Produce accurate and on-time financial reports, like income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and variance analyses, while following all relevant accounting rules and regulations
Build and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets, reduce financial risks, and ensure policies are followed, regularly reviewing and improving these systems
Monitor cash flow to keep enough liquidity, support daily operations, and fund future investments, using smart cash management to avoid financial issues
Handle day-to-day financial tasks, such as managing payments, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations
Work with senior leaders to develop financial strategies that match the company’s goals, providing clear insights, risk assessments, and suggestions for big decisions
Ensure compliance with tax laws, reporting rules, and other legal requirements, coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators as needed
Providing expert financial analysis and due diligence on prospective property acquisitions, considering factors such as return on investment, cash flow projections, and risk assessments to inform investment strategies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional certification (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA) is required, CFA is a plus
Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably within real estate or property investment sectors
Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and analytical techniques
Familiarity with financial regulations, tax codes, and compliance requirements
