Job Description:

As a member of the senior management team, this position oversees the Finance department–including the Accounting, Assessing, and Treasury. This position also performs all duties required of a Town Accountant under Massachusetts General Laws. The Finance Director/Town Accountant must value professionalism, accountability, integrity, and responsiveness.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Munis
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or five to seven years of related experience in municipal government finance, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified Governmental Accountant credential preferred at time of hire

Nice to have:

Experience with community preservation, debt issuance and administration
