Job Description

Join K2 Partnering Solutions, a leading global provider of end-to-end consultative technology solutions, as the Finance Director for the APAC region. This pivotal role is the most senior finance leadership position in the region, responsible for driving our financial strategy, tactical execution, and strategic decision-making across key markets including Japan (our largest office), Singapore, Philippines, Australia, and India. You will lead a robust, multi-country finance team, manage regional finance accountants, and oversee all accounting and analysis functions, ensuring high standards of financial control and compliance. As a trusted advisor to regional stakeholders, including the APAC Managing Director in Japan, your expertise will directly contribute to the region's financial stability and growth. You will report into the Global CFO based in London, UK.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to a multi-country finance team, overseeing and reviewing all team accounting work, accruals, and financial controls across Japan, Singapore, China, India, and Australia
  • Drive all operational and technical finance activities, including timely and accurate monthly management accounts, cash flow management, working capital oversight, and regional group reporting
  • Serve as a key strategic advisor to the Managing Director and senior leadership, utilizing strong financial analysis and data insights to drive business growth, optimize performance, and develop business cases
  • Ensure full financial control, compliance, and efficiency by managing statutory accounts, tax, treasury, transfer pricing, and the integration of acquired entities
  • Lead the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, including coordinating external audits and collaborating with global finance teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Finance Director in a company of similar size. Must possess strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP) combined with critical financial analysis skills
  • Experience in the staffing industry is highly desirable. Must have a good understanding of the Japan business environment and proven ability to navigate the diverse economic and regulatory landscapes of the APAC region
  • Internationally recognised accounting qualification (CA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Proven leadership and management ability with a focus on coaching diverse teams. Demonstrated experience with global ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft), internal controls, and compliance
  • Fluent English is mandatory for regional/global communication. Conversational Japanese language skills or above are required
