IN2 Consult is partnering with an exciting, global client on the recruitment of a Senior Project Accountant to join them on an interim basis, focused on designing and implementing new financial processes within a complex, evolving environment. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Technology, with a core focus on building robust, scalable processes to support accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. Initially, this will involve developing structured, Excel-based solutions using new data inputs, with a longer-term view toward automation. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless transition to improved ways of working.
Job Responsibility
Develop and implement a new revenue recognition process aligned to existing accounting policies
Build a structured, repeatable solution (initially Excel-based) using multiple data sources
Embed controls to identify errors and ensure data accuracy
Continuously refine outputs and resolve issues throughout implementation
Transition the process into BAU with clear documentation and post-implementation support
Collaborate with finance, technology, and external stakeholders to define and deliver requirements
Translate business needs into practical, scalable process solutions
Ensure stakeholders remain aligned and accountable throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure accurate accounting treatment of project-related costs and cash flows
Partner with finance teams to communicate accounting implications and updates
Maintain oversight of financial impact throughout the project
Establish strong data governance and process control frameworks
Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards
Support audit requirements related to new processes
Proactively identify and mitigate risks relating to data integrity and reporting accuracy
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles
Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and structure complex datasets
Experience working across finance and technology-driven projects
Familiarity with ERP systems & Analytics tools
Proven ability to build and improve processes in a fast-paced environment
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
