Job Description

IN2 Consult is partnering with an exciting, global client on the recruitment of a Senior Project Accountant to join them on an interim basis, focused on designing and implementing new financial processes within a complex, evolving environment. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Technology, with a core focus on building robust, scalable processes to support accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. Initially, this will involve developing structured, Excel-based solutions using new data inputs, with a longer-term view toward automation. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless transition to improved ways of working.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement a new revenue recognition process aligned to existing accounting policies
  • Build a structured, repeatable solution (initially Excel-based) using multiple data sources
  • Embed controls to identify errors and ensure data accuracy
  • Continuously refine outputs and resolve issues throughout implementation
  • Transition the process into BAU with clear documentation and post-implementation support
  • Collaborate with finance, technology, and external stakeholders to define and deliver requirements
  • Translate business needs into practical, scalable process solutions
  • Ensure stakeholders remain aligned and accountable throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment of project-related costs and cash flows
  • Partner with finance teams to communicate accounting implications and updates
  • Maintain oversight of financial impact throughout the project
  • Establish strong data governance and process control frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards
  • Support audit requirements related to new processes
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks relating to data integrity and reporting accuracy

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and structure complex datasets
  • Experience working across finance and technology-driven projects
  • Familiarity with ERP systems & Analytics tools
