Job Description:

Provide high-impact financial analysis and reporting to CSIRO's Executive, Leadership Team, and Board. Contribute to strategic decision-making through forecasting, modelling, and performance insights. Work in Australia's national science agency supporting innovative science and technology.

Job Responsibility:

Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and modelling aligned with strategic goals
Preparing and reviewing internal financial reports for Executive Team and Board
Supporting development and implementation of improved financial processes and systems
Collaborating across Finance and Research Units to consolidate forecasts, identify risks, and contribute to organisational initiatives

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
Completion of CA/CPA Program or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft and SAP systems and processes
Demonstrated ability to prepare insightful commentary that identifies issues and recommendations
Demonstrated ability to ensure and oversee data integrity and compliance
Technical knowledge and/or experience in management accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting in the government sector
Demonstrated ability in developing and communicating financial management advice
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and agility in delivery of high-quality outputs
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction for others in the team
