Our core business activities cover demolition and contracting services, scaffolding, and waste recycling services, which are provided by the Group throughout East Anglia. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to influence our financial health and support sustainable growth through meticulous oversight and innovative financial management practices. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire accounting function, manage financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the group. Your expertise will drive strategic financial planning, optimise cash management, and strengthen our financial controls across multiple entities.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Group Chief Financial Officer in preparing annual budgets for all divisions, incorporating relevant KPIs
Consolidate divisional budgets into group-level forecasts to set clear performance targets
Maintain and update rolling forecasts to monitor performance, identify variances, and support strategic planning
Investigate variances between budgets, forecasts, and actual results
Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reports for each division
Present monthly financial results to the board and provide in-depth analysis
Review results with department heads, ensuring accountability for divisional performance
Support wider company management with financial insights and decision making
Oversee daily and weekly cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity
Identify and manage short-term funding requirements and variances between forecast and actual results
Optimise use of invoice financing and credit facilities to maintain financial flexibility
Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, investors, lenders, and potential acquisition targets
