Job Description

This is a key leadership role within the business, offering the opportunity to partner closely with senior stakeholders and drive financial insight, control and process improvement. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a small established finance team and take full responsibility for the day-to-day and strategic running of the finance function.

Job Responsibility

  • Ownership of weekly and monthly management accounts, providing clear and actionable insight
  • Leading all statutory reporting, year-end processes and audit liaison
  • Managing cashflow forecasting and ensuring strong financial controls are in place
  • Overseeing payroll, sales ledger and purchase ledger activities
  • Partnering with operational teams to improve financial understanding and performance
  • Driving process improvements, efficiencies and best practice across finance
  • Acting as the key point of contact for finance across the wider business

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE)
  • Strong experience within an operationally focused environment
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and at a detailed level
  • Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Strong systems and Excel skills (Sage experience beneficial)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
