To lead the design, development, and operation of global financial clearing solutions, owning the FCH product portfolio across business areas such as Roaming, Fixed Line, IoT (M2M), Interconnection, and Vodafone Messaging Hub. The role is pivotal in enabling new business initiatives, driving automation, and ensuring compliance, while fostering a high-performance engineering culture. A key focus is on building and inspiring a world-class, cross-functional DevOps team that delivers robust, scalable, and innovative solutions, supporting Vodafone’s strategic ambitions and operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • People Leadership: Inspire, develop, and lead a diverse, international engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance. Champion talent development, succession planning, and team engagement to build a world-class DevOps capability
  • DevOps Excellence: Establish and evolve a best-in-class DevOps function, integrating development and operations to ensure end-to-end accountability for platform stability, security, and agility. Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Platform Ownership: Ensure robust operation and continuous enhancement of the FinCA platform and related FCH products, delivering value and efficiency for Vodafone’s Carrier & B2B business
  • Strategic Delivery: Shape and execute the product roadmap in alignment with business stakeholders, supporting global transformation initiatives and new revenue streams
  • Compliance and Governance: Guarantee compliance with GSMA standards, SOX, and internal controls from an IT perspective. Represent FCH IT in formal governance forums and manage escalations effectively

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership in building, motivating, and developing high-performing engineering and DevOps teams in an international context
  • Deep understanding of carrier/telco-specific clearing processes and financial systems
  • Expertise in modern software engineering, DevOps, and agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe), with a track record of delivering scalable, reliable platforms
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels and across cultures
  • Experience in driving transformation, embracing disruptive technologies (cloud, automation, AI, etc.), and fostering a culture of innovation
  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related)
  • Fluent in English
  • Significant experience in telecommunications and carrier business, ideally with a background in billing/finance and DevOps leadership
  • International project and people management experience - desirable
