  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation covering accounting methodologies, systems, and processes
  • Support reconciliation design between GL, subledgers, actuarial systems, investment systems, and data warehouse platforms
  • Present complex technical and financial concepts to senior stakeholders in a clear and structured manner

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience in insurance finance transformation, accounting, actuarial, or financial systems delivery
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products and investment accounting concepts
  • Hands-on IFRS experience with proven exposure to IFRS 17 measurement models and reporting frameworks
  • Experience producing technical documentation for systems, processes, and accounting methodologies
  • Strong project delivery experience in large-scale transformation programs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, IT, and Actuarial teams
  • Professional designation (CPA, CA) or actuarial designation (FSA, FCIA), or advanced degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field

Nice to have

  • Experience with GL, subledger systems, actuarial valuation tools, or policy administration platforms
  • Familiarity with Accounting Hub, CSM calculators, BI/reporting tools, and cloud-based finance systems
  • Exposure to financial data architecture including ETL/ELT processes, canonical data models, and reconciliation automation

What we offer

  • Opportunity to contribute to a high-impact Finance & Actuarial transformation program within a leading Canadian financial institution
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale IFRS 17 implementation and enhancement initiatives
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Actuarial, IT, and vendor teams
  • Strong visibility with senior stakeholders and finance leadership
  • Potential for contract extension or transition into permanent internal opportunities
  • Work within a mature Finance Project Team environment focused on innovation and modernization
