Job Description:

NSW Government is seeking a collaborative and proactive Finance Business Partner to join their friendly and supportive team on a 6-month contract. Responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and providing financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders. The role offers hybrid work flexibility in Sydney CBD.

Job Responsibility:

Partner with stakeholders across the department to provide financial guidance and insights
Assist with preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Participate in monthly management meetings and prepare business partner notes
Support cash flow forecasting and management reporting
Assist with month-end processes alongside the finance team
Provide financial advice to non-financial stakeholders to support business decisions
Prepare reports, dashboards, and analysis to support business performance
Contribute to a collaborative and approachable team culture.

Requirements:

3+ years’ experience in a Finance Business Partnering role
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability
Proactive and hands-on approach with strong relationship-building skills
Previous experience in Government or public sector desirable
Desire to use MyWorkZone, PowerBI, PowerPivots or similar budgeting tools a bonus
Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
CA / CPA Qualification.
