YMCA Derbyshire is looking for a confident, people‑focused Finance Business Partner who can turn numbers into clarity, insight and impact. If you love working with people just as much as working with budgets and you can influence, guide and explain financial information in a clear, human way then this could be your ideal next step.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the go-to finance expert for Directors and Senior Leaders
  • Turn data into meaningful insight, not just reports
  • Lead budgets, forecasting and business planning
  • Improve how we report, communicate and understand finance
  • Support strategic projects, growth and decision-making
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a finance role supporting non-finance managers
  • Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Experience producing or supporting management accounts
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Understanding of financial governance and risk management
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable improving systems and ways of working
  • Proficient in MS Office and finance systems
  • Full driving licence and access to a car with business use insurance
