This is a specialist Finance Business Partner role, requiring proven experience working within regulated cost control frameworks. You will operate at the heart of a highly regulated, fast-moving environment, taking ownership of regulated cost reporting and acting as a trusted advisor to the business. You will enable teams to stay focused on operational delivery while you provide clear, confident financial regulatory guidance and insight.
Job Responsibility:
Lead month-end regulated cost control processes, including detailed variance analysis and a forward-looking view incorporating risks and opportunities
Partner with other FBPs to identify and implement cost strategies that maximise allowable exclusions and efficiencies within the regulatory framework
Reduce the financial and regulatory burden on the wider business by owning complex cost control and compliance processes
Maintain and develop scenario models in conjunction with FP&A to support agile responses to future regulatory or policy changes
Act as a subject-matter expert on Financial Regulations, providing consistent, practical guidance across Finance and the wider organisation
Support informed decision-making through clear insight into regulatory impacts, risks, and opportunities
Requirements:
ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
Proven experience working within regulated cost control, spend governance, or capped-budget environments
Strong understanding of Financial Regulations and their commercial implications
Demonstrable Finance Business Partnering experience with the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders
Highly analytical, with the ability to translate complex regulation into clear, actionable insight
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, heavily regulated environment
