Job Responsibility
Act as a trusted advisor to budget holders, providing proactive, relevant, and integrated business and financial insights
Deliver sound analysis and forward-looking financial options to support, inform, or challenge key operational decisions
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate, strategy-led, and timely financial plans
Connect financial and non-financial data, translating complex information into clear, actionable insights for managers
Contribute to the development and validation of business cases to ensure realistic resourcing, benefit realization, and policy compliance
Mentor and coach junior staff members to develop organizational talent
Requirements
Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CAANZ or equivalent) with 3-4 years of post-qualification experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and articulate complex messages simply across all levels of an organization (ideally within government)
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, capable of complex problem-solving, strategic thinking, and managing diverse stakeholder interests
