Job Description

Reporting directly into the Technology Business Partner, the role is for a Finance Business Partner - Opex, who will be responsible for delivering Opex Strategy for Technology Business unit, by owing the End-to-End responsibility of the Opex budgets and spends. The Finance Business Partner will also be key enabler for the Strategic and Transformational Initiatives in the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Be the trusted advisor to the CNO, CIO and Technology Business Partner for all aspects of Opex budgets and spends
  • Ownership of more than €100m of Opex cost across spend in Support and Maintenance, Site Rentals, People cost, and other
  • Support business owners & Finance with business cases, cost deep dives & cost transformation initiatives
  • Manage the relationship with the Shared Service Centre for Site Rentals payments & Reconciliations and Month end actuals
  • Work closely with Cost Centre Owners on optimisation opportunities
  • Monthly analysis of costs with related drivers & KPI’s, whilst liaising with shared service centre & business, to understand the full year & future impact
  • Support, own & drive cost transformation in Technology through deep dives to identify, analyse, propose & support implementation of cost savings & efficiency initiatives
  • Bring drive and creativity to cost challenges, challenging and supporting the business to go above and beyond cost targets
  • Monthly/bi-monthly reviews with cost centre managers to ensure they are aware of their current performance and any corrective actions needed
  • Benchmark main KPIs vs other OpCos and other industry benchmarks to look for opportunities to optimise expenditure
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports, analysis and commentary as required, including total company performance updates to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Ownership and development of forecasting models and process for all Technology cost lines, including end deliverable
  • from driving bottoms up forecasting from business to CFO & Director sign-off
  • Prepare robust & challenging cost forecasts in conjunction with business owners
  • Build bottom up planning models to include cost driver drivers & trend analysis where appropriate

Requirements

  • A Qualified Accountant with 5+ years of experience in similar capacity
  • The ability to distinguish key insights from data to provide to management, which will in turn facilitate strategic decisions
  • An effective communicator who can communicate effectively both cross-functionally and to senior management
  • An individual with a growth mind-set who is open for new challenges.
