Our client, a leading financial services firm based in Dublin City, is seeking an experienced Technical Finance Business Analyst with strong PeopleSoft Financials expertise and a solid background in finance or accounting. This role sits at the intersection of finance operations and technology, supporting PeopleSoft enhancements, finance transformation initiatives, and ongoing system optimisation across a global reinsurance environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the key liaison between Finance, Technology, and external stakeholders for PeopleSoft-related initiatives
  • Analyse, document, and translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications
  • Support and enhance PeopleSoft Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Management, Billing, Treasury, etc.)
  • Lead and coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, testing cycles, and UAT
  • Troubleshoot and resolve finance system issues, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity
  • Partner with global finance teams to streamline processes and implement best practices
  • Produce reporting insights, financial analyses, and project documentation
  • Contribute to finance transformation and systems projects across the reinsurance business

Requirements:

  • 6+ years’ experience as a Finance or Technical Business Analyst in a finance-heavy environment
  • Strong PeopleSoft Financials experience (configuration, analysis, reporting, enhancements)
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes (e.g., month-end, consolidation, GL structure)
  • Prior experience in insurance or reinsurance is highly advantageous
  • Proven ability to lead requirement gathering, documentation, solution design, and testing cycles
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in complex global finance environments
  • Excellent communicator with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
