Job Description:

Responsible for automating specified processes within Redwood and providing maintenance and support to Redwood users. Accountable to follow Redwood and RTR best practices and agreed development standards and procedures. Consulted on which processes to automate and how to do so. As part of the RTR GPO team responsible for delivering standardization and efficiency of Finance processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review process designs and confirm automation possibilities
  • Build and unit test automations
  • Support UAT of automations including demonstrating to users and fault finding
  • Follow defined governance over developments including documentation and sign off requirements
  • Support process reviews with ideas for efficient automations
  • Support Redwood users with any issues they encounter
  • Maintain automations and the Redwood suite for necessary changes

Requirements:

  • Understanding of finance transactional processes (RTR, AR, AP)
  • Experience of SAP (preferably S4) as a finance user
  • Logical thought processes, often demonstrated through coding / programming experience
  • Ability to break down complex processes into individual steps and understand the options for automation of each
  • Experience of process design, documentation and optimization
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Operational finance experience (RTR, AR, AP), including a working knowledge of double entry accounting
  • Able to work on their own with limited supervision
  • Ability to work in international business context
  • good written and spoken English mandatory. Occasional business travel required.

  • Experience of finance automation, particularly Redwood
  • Experience of MS tools
  • Experience of working in an agile manner
  • Experience in business facing finance roles (e.g. RTR accountant)
  • Qualified or part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
