Swale Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join our central finance team based in Sittingbourne, Kent. You will be a hardworking, friendly and organised individual who enjoys team working and a busy office environment. Key duties include processing of orders and invoices, raising payments to suppliers, school trips, and managing email inboxes. This is a fast-paced but rewarding role, encompassing a range of duties working with multiple stakeholders both internal and external. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with sound interpersonal skills who is able to prioritise their own workload. Prior experience of school finance would be an advantage but is not essential as full training for the role will be provided. Training opportunities to obtain recognised qualifications via an apprenticeship route are available for the right candidate. The role is advertised at 25 hours per a week, term time, plus staff development days and an additional 10 working days spread across the school holidays (41 weeks per year). However, we will consider alternative working patterns for the right candidate. Please specify any working pattern requests both in the application form and at the interview.
