Job Description

We’re partnering with a well-established business in Milton Keynes to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 6-month FTC. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys working in a varied role and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Responsibility

  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices and supplier payments
  • Raising and processing credit notes
  • Performing account reconciliations
  • Applying double-entry bookkeeping principles accurately
  • Managing the finance inbox and ensuring queries are resolved promptly
  • Processing ad-hoc payments and supporting wider finance administration
  • Assisting with finance projects and process improvements
  • Supporting the finance team with reporting and general administrative duties

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator role
  • Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping (essential)
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, reconciliations and credit notes
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to thrive in a busy environment
