Job Description:

Affinity Workforce Solutions are currently looking for a detail-oriented and committed Finance Assistant to support financial operations within a dynamic multi-academy trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of educational services and make a meaningful impact behind the scenes.

Job Responsibility:

Maintaining accurate financial records and information systems
Administering income, payments, and preparing transactions for authorisation
Processing receipts, invoices, purchase orders, and BACS payments
Preparing and chasing invoices in line with trust policy
Responding to supplier queries and reconciling statements
Ensuring financial coding aligns with trust guidelines
Producing budget reports and supporting bank reconciliations
Assisting with monthly and yearly financial tasks
Upholding confidentiality and safeguarding standards in all financial practices

Requirements:

GCSEs at Grade C / Level 4 or above in Maths and English
Excellent IT, numeracy, and literacy skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with finance systems and processes
Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

Nice to have:

NVQ3, AAT Level 2 or equivalent
Experience in a finance role within the education sector
