Invicta Health has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a part time basis, 18 hours per week. Invicta Health is a non-profit company, with a passion for primary care. We have a wide range of services such as hub-based GPs services, GP surgeries, services in Urgent Care Centres and A&E, a Community Primary Care mental health service, GP staff training service and the list is growing all the time. We are formed by a federation of General Practitioners working in Canterbury and South Kent Coast areas of East Kent. Our aim is to provide local, high quality services for local people by collaborating with other established organisations in the health and social care community.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the provision of financial support and advice to the Senior Management team
Autonomously plan your own workload, prioritising the processing of invoices once goods have been received and raising purchase orders for managers within Head Office
Work with the Head of Finance, supporting in the development of monthly finance reports
Work frequently with and Sage Line 50 finance software
Assist with the maintenance of purchase ledgers to support the production of monthly financial statements
Accurate coding of supplier invoices through Sage Line 50 finance software & setting up of payments thought NatWest Bankline
Provide support to the Head of Finance in responding to enquiries from budget holders and managers and assisting them with all operational finance and performance issues
Assist in the production of monthly running cost statements to ensure Invicta Health remains within the running cost
Produce ad hoc reports, including spreadsheets and graphs, as required
Assist with Credit Control, Cash and Cheque reconciliation and the process of posting payments
Reconciliation of Petty Cash & Credit Card Statements
Coordinate the reconciliation of claims and arrange reimbursements
Responsible for supplying codes for budget holders and colleagues, both internally and externally, to ensure prompt and accurate coding of invoices
Raise all accruals, budget virements and other adjustments as appropriate and then be responsible for the input to the financial ledger
Be responsible for the raising of invoices to ensure the correct level of income is received to aid with Invicta Healths cash flow position
Work with colleagues and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all recharges are actioned
Support the development of and work within financial procedures, policies, guidelines and best accounting practices
Be responsible for planning own work to meet the monthly financial timetable
Support the Senior Management Team, as required
Cover the duties of the Finance Team during their absence
Undertake other ad hoc duties as and when required
Work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues across Invicta Health, building and maintaining relationships
Contribute to the development of services, including processes, templates and principles
