A growing organisation in the Silverstone, Northamptonshire area is seeking a part-time Finance Assistant to support its expanding internal finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a collaborative, close-knit team. You’ll be involved in a wide range of day-to-day finance activities and play an important role in ensuring smooth financial operations across the business.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out daily bank reconciliations across multiple currencies
Manage the business card expense process, ensuring timely submissions and accurate posting
Oversee accounts payable from inbox management to supplier statement reconciliations
Work with internal project leads to ensure accurate postings and maintain reconciled budgets
Assist with accounts receivable activities
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Support VAT return preparation
Assist with monthly reporting and period-end close
Help prepare year-end schedules for external accountants
Maintain financial data and support general finance administration
Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team when required
Requirements:
Minimum 2/3 years experience in a similar finance role
Confident working with accounting software
Strong Excel skills and good general Microsoft Office knowledge
Clear and professional communication skills
Nice to have:
AAT qualification (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential
