We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will play a key role in supporting the monthly financial reporting cycle, supplier management, invoicing, and day-to-day finance operations. This flexible part-time role offers the opportunity to work any 3 long days between Monday and Friday or 5 short days making it ideal for someone seeking work-life balance while contributing to a busy and supportive finance function.
Job Responsibility:
Recording financial transactions and posting journals using Sage
Raising purchase orders and processing supplier invoices
Posting weekly payroll information and company expenses
Managing supplier accounts, reconciliations, and payment queries
Processing BACS payment runs and reconciling bank accounts
Supporting month-end reporting and client payment applications
Raising client invoices relating to applications and fuel costs
Assisting with audits and ad hoc financial analysis
Ordering IT equipment, office stationery, and miscellaneous supplies
Requirements:
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Flexible and proactive approach to work
Full UK Driving Licence
Finance experience is preferred

Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
