Job Description:

Finance Assistant role in a dynamic organisation joining a small, friendly accounts team to manage essential financial functions

Job Responsibility:

Support the setup and maintenance of financial systems related to invoicing and expenses
Process supplier invoices and employee expenses in line with company policy
Assist with supplier account reconciliations and maintain accurate records
Prepare and execute weekly payment runs
Post bank payments, card transactions, and expenses into the accounting system
Manage company credit card transactions and reconciliations
Perform month-end stock reconciliations, including stock in transit journals, under the guidance of senior finance staff
Liaise with internal teams to manage payments to stock suppliers and maintain supplier statements
Contribute to budgeting and financial reporting processes
Assist with month-end tasks including preparation of prepayments and accruals
Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
Provide general support to the finance team with ad hoc accounting tasks

Requirements:

Solid understanding of finance and accounting practices
Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
Proactive attitude and a desire to learn
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
