Job Responsibility:

  • Reviewing and managing the finance inbox
  • Supplier set-ups
  • Posting purchase invoices with the correct approvals, including Construction Industry Scheme and reverse charge VAT
  • Reconciling job and project costs between SimPro (CRM) and Xero
  • Cashbook posting (income & expenses) and reconciliations across current, loan, credit card, and petty cash accounts
  • Updating daily cash balances for director review
  • Scheduling and processing payments (PL, DDs, HMRC)
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Supporting credit control and sending customer statements
  • Month-end support
  • Providing Directors with up-to-date financial information and reporting

Requirements:

  • Self‑motivated, positive, and resilient
  • Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise, multitask, and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Trustworthy, confidential, and reliable
  • Confident using Xero (essential)
  • Experienced in Construction Industry Scheme and construction finance (essential)

Nice to have:

Covering weekly payroll when necessary (desirable)
