Job Responsibility:
Reviewing and managing the finance inbox
Supplier set-ups
Posting purchase invoices with the correct approvals, including Construction Industry Scheme and reverse charge VAT
Reconciling job and project costs between SimPro (CRM) and Xero
Cashbook posting (income & expenses) and reconciliations across current, loan, credit card, and petty cash accounts
Updating daily cash balances for director review
Scheduling and processing payments (PL, DDs, HMRC)
Supplier statement reconciliations
Supporting credit control and sending customer statements
Month-end support
Providing Directors with up-to-date financial information and reporting
Requirements:
Self‑motivated, positive, and resilient
Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
Able to prioritise, multitask, and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
Trustworthy, confidential, and reliable
Confident using Xero (essential)
Experienced in Construction Industry Scheme and construction finance (essential)
Nice to have:
Covering weekly payroll when necessary (desirable)
