Job Description

Ian Williams continues to successfully grow, as a business and as an employer of choice. Within our Head Office, based in Chipping Sodbury, we are looking for a Finance Assistant to be part of a small team, that makes a big difference. You will be joining a thriving and established General Ledger team, where quality and teamwork is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with the business, to provide support, find solutions, and support the Supervisor with the successful management of the accounts.

Job Responsibility

  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Costing and reconciling expenses
  • Updating of the cashbook
  • processing of sundry payments and cash receipts
  • Completing variance analysis of cost compared to forecast and budget
  • Producing schedules of nominal ledger costs
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and conducting fixed asset audits
  • Costing consolidated invoices
  • Consolidating stock take returns
  • Preparation and analysis of financial reports
  • Additional finance support responsibilities, including supporting the annual audit

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant role is essential
  • An eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and highlighting risk
  • A drive to provide efficient solutions
  • You take pride in delivering a professional service
  • Communicating effectively is important to you, building relationships with internal and external customers, you’re a team player
  • Confident in using MS packages, specifically proficient in Excel
  • AAT desirable (could be part qualified) but not essential
