Job Description:

We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑focused Finance Assistant to join our busy team. In this role, you will ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and on time, manage and resolve invoicing queries, and liaise with suppliers to support smooth financial operations. You will also play a key role in supporting the Sales Ledger team during corrections week, ensuring Member queries are handled promptly and professionally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately validate and process invoices received via post, email, Esker or F4F
  • Raise queries with suppliers or buyers where required
  • Work with suppliers to resolve incorrect invoicing
  • Assist with the monthly post‑out process
  • Process supplier credit notes
  • Process Member correction documentation within set deadlines
  • Record Member queries within the NetSuite CRM system
  • Provide a professional, efficient, customer‑focused service to Members
  • Ensure invoice corrections reflect any associated credit notes
  • Process all correction paperwork in Harrier in line with monthly deadlines
  • Support the wider team by answering calls, responding to emails, and assisting during peak periods
  • Carry out ad hoc administrative tasks as required
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks to support the needs of the business

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Effective time management and prioritisation
  • Confident using digital platforms, including Microsoft Office
  • Engaging and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in a busy office environment
  • Experience in invoice processing, sales ledger work, and query management
  • Awareness of customer service best practice
  • Understanding of invoices, credit notes and VAT
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade 4 or above

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Harrier and NetSuite
  • Customer service qualifications or training
  • Understanding of the agricultural industry and its challenges
