Job Description:

Our client is a VIC State government organisation based in the Melbourne CBD. They are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to come in and join them on a 2 month temp contract with potential for extension.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strategic Financial Advisory: Provide high-level analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support executive decision-making and project costing
  • Leadership & Culture: Role model ethics and integrity while managing resources and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment
  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Lead the annual budget cycle and prepare monthly performance reports with variance analysis for the Board and Executive
  • Capability Uplift: Partner with divisions to improve financial literacy, providing expert advice on business cases, project planning, and budget management
  • Systems & Process Management: Optimize whole-of-organization financial systems, including TechnologyOne models and the EPA chart of accounts
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to the Environment Protection Act 2017, financial policies, and OHS standards
  • Stakeholder Advocacy: Engage with the community and duty holders to promote the EPA’s regulatory role and commitment to environmental health

Requirements:

  • Finance One / Technology One system knowledge
  • Budget/Forecast experience
  • Strong knowledge of Excel including graphs, charts, pivots
  • Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner role
  • Strong ability to engage with stakeholders and translate to various levels of financial literacy
