Job Description:

WhatsApp’s mission is to Connect the world privately. More than 3 billion people in over 180 countries use WhatsApp to stay in touch with friends and family, anytime and anywhere. WhatsApp is free and offers simple, secure, reliable messaging and calling, available on phones all over the world. The Finance and Business Planning team enables Meta to plan, prioritize, and execute as effectively as possible. We are financial advisers to our business partners, helping them solve their toughest challenges and operate with an independent and objective perspective. We take a uniquely long-term view towards our businesses, and our teams own shared business goals and results with our partners. We’re looking for a Finance Manager to support the full financial picture for WhatsApp. This is a visible and integral role across the organization - directly supporting business leaders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Monetization. You will support decisions around nascent product bets and resource allocation, expense management, and prioritization across a full range of planning, strategic decision making, and forecasting. You’ll engage daily with executive business leaders, and act as both a financial business partner and strategic advisor to the leadership team. You should be interested in the WhatsApp product, have experience working with business leaders on monetization and investment decisions, have a demonstrated interest in data and technology, and experience owning highly ambiguous and strategic projects. This role will offer you the opportunity to understand and contribute to many facets of business and product strategy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Become an integral part of the organization's strategy and planning processes
  • Own end-to-end partnerships with a broad range of Product leads
  • Drive nuanced ROI and impact frameworks across headcount, OpEx and capacity investments
  • Own day-to-day operational tasks related to budget management
  • Perform strategic and/or ad-hoc business analysis as required
  • Champion independent viewpoints across WhatsApp and Meta Finance leadership
  • Collaborate with horizontal Financial Planning & Analysis teams to improve and operationalize processes related to headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in finance / strategic finance, business strategy, product analytics, or related professional experience managing strategic investments and strategy
  • Experience leading finance across headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Experience synthesizing strategic insights and problem solving individually or in a group setting
  • Experience communicating, influencing, and relationship building with business leaders
  • Skilled at overseeing multiple initiatives in a deadline-focused setting with a matriced organizational structure

Nice to have:

  • Experience working at a leading technology, internet or high growth company
  • Experience working in a hyper-scaling environment
  • Experience in data analytics, developing code, and/or forecasting (SQL, Python, R)
