Job Description

New Jersey–based single family office seeks exceptionally intelligent and responsible Finance and Accounting specialist to collaborate closely with our CFO and other key team members. Our team has a comprehensive approach to address all financial needs of the family office and associated entities.

Job Responsibility

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in creating the foundation for a sophisticated family office structure, including accounting, reporting, cash management, document organization, tax coordination, and advisor management
  • Assist in building Family Office Infrastructure
  • Establish accounting systems and procedures across all family entities
  • This is a hands-on role responsible for developing accounting processes, implementing reporting systems, organizing financial information across entities, and establishing best practices for family office operations
  • Create and maintain entity organizational charts and ownership structures
  • Develop a centralized financial reporting framework
  • Implement document management and record retention systems
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing family office technology platforms
  • Family Office Administration
  • Organize financial records and historical documentation
  • Establish chart of accounts and reporting standards
  • Perform month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Investment & Asset Reporting
  • Track private investments, and distributions
  • Maintain compliance calendars and filing requirements

Requirements

  • 8+ years in family office, private client, public accounting, private equity, or wealth management environments
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated experience building processes rather than simply maintaining existing ones
  • Experience with high-net-worth clients
  • Experience in working with QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
  • Familiarity with family office and reporting platforms
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise
