Job Description

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in the world of finance and accounting? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial analysis? We're looking for a motivated Finance & Accounting Intern to join our growing team and contribute to various aspects of our financial operations. The Finance Intern will support the accounting and finance team in managing key financial processes, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Financial Reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in a corporate finance environment, offering exposure to accounting and finance operations, as well as reporting standards. The intern will work closely with senior finance professionals, ensuring accuracy completeness and efficiency in processing daily financial transactions. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to be exposed to all areas mention to gain an overview of the accounting flows and provide support in respective processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Accounts Payables: Assist in processing invoices, payments, and handling supplier-related tasks to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Accounts Receivables: Help with issuing invoices, tracking payments, and addressing customer-related queries to maintain positive financial relationships
  • Fixed Assets Accounting: Support the addition and disposal of fixed assets and assist with related accounting processes
  • General Ledger: Help reconcile General Ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Month-End & Year-End Closing: Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing documentation and supporting the team in timely financial reporting
  • Financial Reporting & Data Analysis: Contribute to financial reports and perform data analysis to support decision-making and business insights
  • Compliance & Standards: Support compliance with company policies and accounting standards, ensuring accuracy in all financial processes
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams on ad-hoc finance-related projects, contributing to the overall success of the department
  • Additional Tasks: Assist with other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Team Leader or Operations Manager

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at a basic level (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
  • Accuracy in handling and delivering numerical data
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Attention to details
  • Fluency in English (speaking / writing / reading)
