Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Analyst to support the finance function of a multi-entity operating business. This role blends core accounting, financial analysis, and month-end support with hands-on Accounts Payable ownership. It is well-suited for someone who enjoys digging into data, reconciling accounts, improving processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial results. While Accounts Payable is a meaningful component of the role, this position goes beyond transactional work and offers exposure to financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and close processes in a dynamic operating environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Support month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with internal and external audit support through well-documented reconciliations and schedules
  • Work in a multi-entity environment, helping ensure consistency and accuracy across companies
  • Own day-to-day Accounts Payable activity with a strong focus on accuracy and controls
  • Perform three-way matching (PO, invoice, receiving) for product and operational purchases
  • Review, code, and process invoices while ensuring proper approvals and documentation
  • Analyze AP aging and vendor balances
  • research and resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Work extensively in ERP systems and accounting software to maintain accurate records
  • Use Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to resolve issues and improve efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience with meaningful exposure to AP, reconciliations, and financial analysis
  • Hands-on experience with three-way matching and operational AP environments
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working in ERP/accounting systems
  • Organized, analytical, and responsive working style
  • Experience in wholesale, manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods industries is a plus
