We are looking for a motivated and analytical Finance Analyst to join our Global Finance team in Berlin. In this role, you will act as a proactive business partner, delivering insights and recommendations based on robust financial analysis and strong process controls. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will contribute to cross-functional reporting, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and govern SAP controlling master data (profit centres, cost centres, internal orders, hierarchies), including validation and data cleansing activities
Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliation, issue resolution, and collaboration with EMEA Finance teams
Process monthly recharges using Blackline
Act as Finance Business Partner for the BU IT team in EMEA, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Lead G&A controlling activities, including actuals tracking and coordination of the planning process ("Black Book") with business stakeholders
Ensure compliance with local regulations, GAAP, and internal accounting policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting systems
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with SAP FICO, Excel, and financial data tools
Strong understanding of SAP Controlling (FICO), including financial structures such as cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, and accounts
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Affinity for IT systems and financial data analysis
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Power BI
Ability to work independently and within a matrix organization
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Cultural awareness and ability to collaborate in diverse teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English and German (additional languages are a plus)
Less than 10% travel, primarily for project work and team meetings
Nice to have:
Experience in data management across multiple platforms
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
