Requirements:

Basic understanding of IFRS Reporting concepts (experience with IFRS preferred)
Experience within the General Insurance industry (some exposure to reserving preferred)
Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) or equivalent
Experience in SAS is essential
Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making
Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions

Nice to have:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with specialised systems, software, databases, presentation, reporting and communication tools
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries and service providers
Ability to plan and prioritise effectively and manage competing resources and demands
Comprehensive understanding of organisational financial frameworks and experience in general insurance reserving is preferred
