Job Description:

Senior level position responsible for leading efforts that ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective is to drive efforts to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain knowledge of Finance industry trends
Contribute to directional strategy of Finance function
Evaluate and resolve complex issues
Assess risk in business decisions
Hedge program governance and adherence to requirements
Application of accounting standards and monitoring hedge metrics
Review hedge designation and de-designation
Manage monthly USGAAP reporting and regulatory requirements
Participate in discussions with trading desks and stakeholders
Perform tie-outs of derivatives disclosures
Represent as hedge accounting subject matter expert
Perform control and operational risk management
Streamline and enhance existing processes
Participate in reviews with external auditors and regulators

Requirements:

6-10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of derivative instruments and accounting for them (including hedge accounting)
CPA preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Master's degree preferred
ASC 815 hedge accounting subject matter expertise
Experience with hedge program governance and controls
Understanding of accounting standards and hedge metrics
Experience with USGAAP reporting and regulatory requirements

Nice to have:

Master's degree
CPA certification
