Job Description:

The Finance & Accounting department supports the organization through financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and accounting operations. This team partners closely with leadership and business units to provide financial insights, ensure compliance, and maintain the organization’s overall financial health.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop a foundational understanding of the Finance team’s primary systems, including JD Edwards (accounting system) and Insight (financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting tool)
  • Assist with the preparation and tracking of event budgets, from initial planning through recording actual results
  • Support the identification of variances between forecasted budgets and actual financial outcomes
  • Assist with entering and maintaining historical department, territory, and event budget and actual data in Insight
  • Learn the fundamentals of forecasting and annual budget preparation for a mid-sized organization, including tracking performance as results are reported
  • Gain exposure to the external audit process and related compliance requirements
  • Support the Finance & Accounting team on additional projects and initiatives as assigned

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in a related field such as Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a similar discipline
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functions
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively
