Job Description:

The Finance Acctg Analyst I is a trainee professional role that requires good knowledge of processes, procedures and systems used in carrying out assigned tasks. The role involves supporting management and control data flows to ensure integrity and completeness of financial data, preparing financial transactions for reporting purposes, and maintaining accounting reconciliations.

Job Responsibility:

Supports management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data
Preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes
Updating the general ledger
Recording financial transactions
Preparing consolidated financial statements
Taking responsibility for accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools
Preparation of accounts for assigned process in line with global guidelines
Adhering to key controls for accounting process
Integrating established disciplinary knowledge within specialty area
Delivering routine accounting deliverables
Communicating with Legal Entity Managers on status of reconciliations/accounting performed
Escalating problems or issues relating to transactions, processes, reports or procedures
Assessing risk when business decisions are made
Driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

Requirements:

Basic level experience in accounting management (combination of education/experience)
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
Good knowledge of processes, procedures and systems
Basic understanding of underlying concepts and principles
Good understanding of how team interacts with others
Ability to make evaluative judgements based on analysis of factual information
Ability to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions
Ability to exchange information in a concise and logical way
