Responsible for generating EBITDA through planning, booking and scheduling film product to maximise film revenue and minimise film rental costs. The jobholder will also be responsible for the implementation of Film Booking systems, processes and procedures. Please note that this role is for a fixed period of up to 6 months.
Job Responsibility:
Negotiate film bookings, performances and screenings with distributors to maximise revenue & minimise rental costs in line with company targets
Plan and prepare for specific business periods/events/initiatives
Ensure effective implementation of administrative systems and procedures within the Film Booking function through support, monitoring and evaluation
Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with Cinemas, Area Managers, Marketing, Finance and other Support Office Departments
Build, develop and maintain working relationships with all film distributors and represent the company in a professional manner at all times
Analyse film performance by cinema, region, circuit and country, understanding results and trends to inform optimal programming decisions
Analyse cinema attendance and film hire performance on a local, company and national scale to maximise profitability in decision-making
Provide support to fellow team members and assist with individual workloads to ensure timely delivery required tasks
Regularly monitor marketplace activity and results
Build, agree and review cinema scheduling, diligently monitoring for additional opportunities and improvements
To be actively involved in forecasting of box-office, admissions, film hire and long-range budgeting as required
View on-screen content and submit commercially critical film reports
Advise on a weekly basis of details of films played and applicable terms to support correct accounts processing
Support cinemas through timely sharing of relevant information including film spec and delivery information, weekly content priorities and POS plans
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Film Booker is highly desirable
Highly numerate - ability to evaluate options for action and reach sound conclusions
High level of PC literacy, including Microsoft Excel in particular
Keen interest in films and business trends
Collaborative, willing to participate and effective member of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good time management and ability to work under pressure
Self-motivated, proactive and passionate
Strong planning and control skills, able to establish a systematic course of action to achieve an objective effectively and efficiently. Appreciation for the need to monitor and control plans
