We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working Filling In-Process Checker to work a permanent full-time on our Day shift (Monday to Friday 7:00h-15:00h EST) at our Alliston facility.
Job Responsibility:
Perform and document all required Viaflex Filling In-process Checks, tests and report results to production as necessary
Prepare reports documenting all production related data for all filling lines
Maintain records of absenteeism, time and vacation for Department
Perform rollstock changes and ensure overpouch sealing equipment performs within quality guidelines, perform minor adjustments as needed
Requisition and gather proper hot stamps for printing machines at code changes
Request and prepare shop packet for Filling Lines
Input material usage for batches into system
Perform required quality checks as per the SOP
Post correct data (code, lot expiration date) on batch boards, (except printers) at start of each batch
Post correct loading patterns at start of each batch
Perform adjustments to equipment, change Rovema rolls and Teflon
Perform Filling Duties as required
Rework scrap units
Ensure overpouch equipment is running within quality specifications
Complete all necessary paperwork and maintaining records of absenteeism, hours and vacation for Schedule batch changes
Complete required tasks on the following computer systems: BMTS, EBR & Kronos/AS400
Perform line clearance as assigned
Perform start-up preparation as assigned
Obtain pyrogen, in-process, and P.M. samples as required and complete documentation
Obtain Cascade and Breakdown samples as required and complete proper documentation
Perform and document (chart) specified tests on line samples each half hour
Perform and document all required quality checks
Perform and document required system checks
Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
Requirements:
Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required
Must pass ergonomic assessment to ensure ability to perform bonafide essential job duties
Experience doing repetitive tasks
Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
Experience in food or manufacturing industry
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (experience working in an assembly line setting is preferred)
Flexibility to weekends
Positive attitude, and an ability to work in a team setting with a focus on quality assurance and attention to detail.
