We are looking for a dependable File Clerk to support daily office operations in California. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping records organized, assisting with front office activity, and handling a variety of clerical tasks with accuracy. The role will contribute to smooth administrative workflows by managing documents, greeting visitors, and providing general office support as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Organize, sort, and maintain physical and digital filing systems to ensure records are easy to retrieve and accurately stored
Welcome visitors and respond to the front door in a courteous manner, directing guests or deliveries appropriately
Perform local bank deposits or other scheduled errands while handling materials securely and responsibly
Assist with collection-related follow-up tasks, including basic communication and documentation support when assigned
Provide day-to-day administrative assistance such as preparing correspondence, updating records, and supporting office staff with clerical needs
Answer inbound calls and route messages to the appropriate team members with courtesy
Use office software and document tools to create, update, and manage files, forms, and related administrative materials
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a file clerk, clerical, or general administrative support role
Strong ability to manage filing systems and maintain accurate document organization
Comfortable handling front desk interaction, inbound calls, and routine office communication
Experience with general clerical tasks, including correspondence and administrative recordkeeping
Familiarity with tools or platforms such as Adobe Acrobat, ADP, A-Systems, Epic Software, IBM AS/400, or similar office systems
Ability to manage errands such as bank runs in a dependable and timely manner
Good attention to detail, organization, and the ability to shift between multiple support tasks during the workday
