We are looking for a dependable File Clerk to support office operations in Santa Clara, California through a Contract assignment providing one-day coverage. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, approachable, and comfortable handling both document management and front office support. The role will focus on keeping records accurate, accessible, and well maintained while contributing to an experienced and detail-oriented workplace environment.
Job Responsibility
Manage document intake by sorting, categorizing, and storing paper and electronic records in an organized manner
Enter and update information in office databases with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Retrieve files, records, and supporting information promptly when requested by staff members
Assist with scanning, digital filing, and maintaining file boxes to ensure materials are easy to locate
Provide contract front desk and administrative coverage while greeting visitors in a courteous and detail-oriented manner
Support day-to-day clerical activities such as record maintenance, document handling, and general office assistance
Help keep shared office areas orderly and ensure filing systems remain current and efficient
Requirements
Prior experience in clerical, administrative support, or records management work is preferred
Strong data entry ability with consistent accuracy and close attention to detail
Working knowledge of paper filing, e-filing, document scanning, and records organization
Ability to manage both physical and electronic files efficiently and confidentially
Detail-oriented approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working independently and handling short-term office coverage responsibilities
Ability to maintain an organized workspace and respond effectively to routine office requests
